This refrigerator has a freezer with an ice maker making it easy to transfer the ice when needed. The freezer features thoughtful design elements, as well, such as sliding drawers that help better organize the placement of your items. Its capacity is above average for counter-depth models, and it cools evenly. It’s also a little cheaper than the best counter-depth refrigerator that has an ice maker, which can make it an attractive option.

Frigidaire Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

If you’re looking for an french door fridge and freezer door refrigerator that won’t break the bank this Frigidaire is a good choice. It’s a simple fridge which may not be as attractive like some of its competitors however it has enough features to make it a good choice. Its most notable characteristic is the adjustable temperature drawer that helps keep food items like veggies and meat fresher for longer. It also has a large ice maker and a water dispenser.

The “Chill Drawer”, which sits above the two crisper bins, is another excellent feature. This drawer lets you redirect some of the fridge’s cooling power directly to this area, which means you can keep food items that require special attention. This feature is adjustable using a slider on the outside of the drawer. You can also set the general cooling settings for the entire fridge. I have found that the generic settings work better than the specific ones.

During my tests, the refrigerator’s temperatures were fairly constant across the different areas of the fridge. Temperatures in the top and bottom of the fridge didn’t vary very far from 38 degrees, and even the middle of the fridge was within a degree of 36. This is a great performance however it doesn’t be among the top in our rankings.

This fridge has a few other neat features, including a temperature-monitoring display that alerts you to fluctuations and provides a forecast for the day ahead. This fridge can be connected with a smart thermostat to get more accurate readings on the internal temperature of your fridge.
