Michel Vorm backs Arne Slot as 'good fit' to become new Tottenham boss

Michel Vorm believes Feyenoord boss Arne Slot would be a ‘good fit’ to take over as the next permanent manager of Hotspur. 

It comes as the Dutchman guided his team to the  after they defeated Go Ahead Eagles 3-0 on Sunday afternoon.

It is only the second time this century that Feyenoord have won the Dutch first division, after they cruised to the league title having lost just one league match to PSV Eindhoven, who sit eight points behind them in second place.

With Slot now having conquered the Dutch league and being heavily liinked with a move to north London, his compatriot, Vorm, thinks he could be a perfect fit to take over from interim manager Ryan Mason. 

‘I think he’s ready,’ the former Tottenham Goalkeeper said after a charity football match, according to . 

‘He showed that, because I know the Dutch league well and what he’s done before, and I speak with a lot of players in Holland, and over the years at AZ and now at Feyenoord how positive they are about him and the style of play, how he communicates and treats all the players and they have done so well.’

‘If you see how they did last season and then now they’ve won the title.He’s done an amazing job and for me he would definitely be a good fit.’

Since joining Feyenoord, Slot has galvanised his side to playing an exciting brand of football, with side scoring 78 goals this season to win 24 of the 34 matches they’ve played this year.
