Sturdy frame
Figures have just been released revealing that the three-wheeled vehicle – a symbol of the noughties of more money than wisdom – is in steep decline. They’ve been replaced with four-wheelers which can handle a wider range of terrain, while also looking elegant and easy to push.
The principle is that the larger the wheels are, the easier it’ll be for your buggy to cope with bumpy and rough pavements. The larger wheels, both front and rear enable you to maneuver and more stable when walking downhill or on difficult terrain.
MFM reviewer Kath tried this buggy on a newborn baby and a best 3 wheel stroller travel system-year-old child and found it very robust. Another thing to think about is the size and shape. You will want it to be large enough for your child’s comfort and you will also want it to be able to recline so that they can lie flat. Certain three-wheel buggies have a full lie-flat option while others will only allow an adult facing one.

MFM reviewer Kath tested a 3 wheel travel system wheeler with her infant and toddler and said: “The Terrain was a pleasure to maneuver over tough terrain with the swivel rear wheel being particularly helpful. I was also impressed with how well it coped with the kerbs, particularly when using the brake operated by hand. It was very stable going downhill or on uneven terrain.”
