10 Real Reasons People Hate Item Upgrade

WoW Upgrades – The Item Upgrader

Upgrades will give you a boost to specific stats. Each upgrade boosts the level of an item by 3. Each upgrade also boosts the random substatus.

The upgraded gear is usually more useful, unless the item has a low requirement by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a high variance in stats (like eth Titan weapons). These types of gear get less value from upgrading due to the need to roll to get a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader lets players upgrade their gear by offering the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of weapon or armor. However, the item Level upgrade used for the upgrade will remain in use for a long time and cannot be used again. Upgrades can be used to create enchantments.

You can upgrade your equipment at any time by visiting the upgrader in any major city. It is recommended that you visit the upgrader at least once every couple of weeks to keep your equipment up-to-date.

The cost of upgrades will be based on the current item level of the item being upgraded however, they will always be less expensive than buying new gear from other sources. For example, upgrading a Benthic chest piece to 385 levels will cost 20 recycle points purchasing a similar piece from another player will costs 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are useful items that can be used to level up weapons tools, armor, and other accessories. Players can purchase them from item upgraders NPCs for a variety of currencies. They are also available on random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade can be used on any tool, weapon or armor. button, which displays an image of the item at the next upgrade level if the player has sufficient materials.

The cost of upgrades varies based on the item slot and the current item level, with weapons costing more than bracers or gloves, for instance. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones plus a set number of crests. Certain upgrades provide a discount on the Flightstones. After an item upgrade has been upgraded to a certain level and is degraded, it can be sold and returned to the upgrader for a lesser amount of the two currency types.

Item upgraders can be found at many locations including the main island as well as some outposts. The NPCs provide an upgrade discount as well as a chance to acquire a new upgrade recipe. The discount on upgrades increases when more items are upgraded. It can also be increased by having players complete certain achievements or complete quests.

Icewind Dale does not have an upgrader for items at the beginning unlike Cromwell from Baldur’s gate II. Instead the NPCs that are available to help with upgrades are acquired via a variety of means, which is both an improvement but also a drawback.

In Season 3, a number of new features have been added to the upgrade system. After an upgrade has been completed to a certain level of item for an armor slot upgrading other items to the same item level will cost less. This is even if those items come from an entirely different set of gear.

The discount is applicable to all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests needed to upgrade is reduced too, but it is only available after certain milestones are reached.

Crests

Players have several options for upgrading their equipment in WoW. Flightstones are an option that is accessible to all players for upgrading. Crests are more specific and are utilized during specific item upgrade level upgrades. Crests are a crucial part of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System introduced in version 10.1. They come in four ranks.

The first thing to remember is that crests are only available for equipment that is of a particular rank. Each rank has an upgrade path that is different. The simplest and most straightforward upgrade path costs 15 crests, while the most complex may require as many as 20 crests depending on the type of equipment being upgraded.

Players can earn crests by finishing content at the appropriate level, which involves walking around and engaging in outdoor activities to get lower-tier gear, raids or dungeons of all difficulty for items of higher tier, or Mythic+ heroic raid bosses and dungeons to obtain endgame gear. These crests can be exchanged with an upgrader for the item, such as Cuzolth or Vaskarn in Valdrakken for the appropriate upgrade steps and pathways.

The use of these currencies isn’t too complicated, but the system will introduce a few changes to the overall upgrade process. For example, once an item is at the highest level of upgrading for any rank (Explorer, Adventurer, Veteran, Champion, Hero, or Mythic) it will no longer require Flightstones to be upgraded. This change is designed to allow players to get their gear up to the highest possible ilvl for all their characters instead of relying on seasonal loot.

Another important change is that crests only have one usage, so it’s important to make use of them in a responsible manner. It’s best to use your Whelpling-rank Crests on the Best item upgrade gear you can find, and save Drake and Wyrm Crests for the next round of upgrades. This is particularly applicable to items like trinkets and rings that take up several slots. The account-wide discount will only apply when all slots on the character are filled with top-quality gear.
